Artist’s Statement:
Synesthesia is something I don’t really see as a disorder - in fact, I think of it as a phenomenon that helps others think in ways we have not previously. I have had synesthesia ever since I was born. The experience of seeing colors in the music notes when I play piano is certainly a satisfying one. I think that once when we observe these topics in another dimension, we are able to expand our creative abilities to do even more than what was ever possible. I believe in the advocacy of changing the stigma behind mental disorders and how we can use innovative approaches to change our perspectives of ordinary things.
